Your Guide to Old School RuneScape Worn Equipment

On your next Old School RuneScape (OSRS) quest, finish your missions quickly and easily, as this page will walk you through your Equipped Inventory tab or Worn Equipment section. It is as crucial as farming, Achievement Diary, and OSRS gold.

Worn Equipment

Worn Equipment is visible and can be accessed on the top portion of your interface. As the name suggests, it shows all of the items that you, the player, have worn, is wearing or wielding. Some of them are provided, whereas others are attained through completing quests or paying with OSRS gold. If you lack the amount you need, keep in mind that there are several gold selling websites where you can sell, trade, and buy RS3 gold and OSRS gold.

The tab is split into 11 slots, each representing different areas of the body by which a piece of equipment can be put on. This means that any included items are no longer part of the backpack inventory.

11 slots

Below are the names of slots that you should learn, discern, and memorise. Do note that the items in these slots generally vary by the membership: OSRS members and F2P (free to play).

Head Slot

The head slot contains different types of helmet armour, which are essential for defence. Below are the advised names for both members and F2P:

F2P:

Cape Slot

Capes or cloaks are the alternatives to backpacks. While they don’t provide protection or increase combat skills, they signify a player’s current level. The most basic cape, Black Cape, can be obtained by killing a highwayman or buying from Barkers’ Haberdashery in Canifis.

Neck Slot

Amulets, necklaces, and symbols are the common items in this slot. Most of them don’t have bonuses unless they are enchanted or blessed.

Ammunition Slot

Also called a quiver slot, this part holds bolts and arrows. We recommend bolts when you want long-range weapons. They are made through smithing and Fletching skills.

Weapon Slot

Most of the essential attack and defence bonuses are found in this slot. The rest, called two-handed weapons (e.g. claws and godswords), are located at a different table.

Shield Slot

Like the head slot, this stores all of the items needed for defence. The most common types of shields are kiteshield and metal square shield. The most basic, however, is the wooden shield. It is the first type given to all new players.

Body Slot

This slot contains items for combat purposes. That said, you will also find non-combat body items that are given from random events.

Legs Slot

Legs slot works equally to body slot. The non-combat items range from skirts to rewards.

Hands Slot

Gloves, bracelets, and vambraces in this slot are for combat purposes.

Feet Slot

Boots and shoes are found in this slot. They range from the quality of materials (i.e. plain leather boots to metal boots).

Ring Slot

Rings are the only kind of item found in this slot. Like amulets and necklaces, they don’t provide attack or defence bonuses unless they are enchanted or blessed. Most of the rings are only for members. That is why it is crucial to either swap or buy RS3 gold and OSRS gold.
